Triumph Launches New Rocket For 2010
Triumph has launched a new take on their successful Rocket III touring platform called the Rocket III Roadster. Triumph has massaged this edition from the touring oriented model of years past and into nasty bare bones street fighter. The new Rocket uses it’s now famous inline, three-cylinder Triumph engine, with a displacement of 2,294 cc. Triumph claims that for the new Roadster model, a little tweaking in the R and D department has resulted in engine torque being boosted by 15% over the previous generation block.
Triumph claims a wopping163 foot pounds of arm straightening torque is available with a twist of a wrist. In the braking department, ABS is now standard and the big news here is that the braking system has been specially designed for the Rocket III Roadster platform. This bad boy motorcycle is available in … well, black, of course, but with a metallic or matte option. This is one bike that I’m hoping we’ll see road tested on Motorcycle Experience in the not too distant future!
